How to import subscribers from other platforms
Many of our users face this problem that they already have subscribers at other places before coming to KiboPush and they want to import them to KiboPush. We have discussed some methods depending on feasibility and cases.
If KiboPush is your first bot platform and you want to target those people who messaged you before to your page, then please see method 3. If you are coming from other bot platforms then methods 1 and 2 can help you.
You must be thinking why those people who already messaged my page before connecting to bot platforms can’t be directly imported into KiboPush. Simple answer is Facebook doesn’t export them for us. This might be due to the opt-in policy of Facebook as the people who sent messages to the page before chatbot platform integration, these people might have just messaged to receive a simple response from page admin. Those people did not have intentions to opt-in to the page subscription by sending a message. But when people message a page which has chatbot platform integration, it is expected from the bot platform to ask people to opt-in or inform them that you will receive messages and here is the way to opt-out.
Whatever your case is, following methods will help you in importing your subscribers.
Method 1: Send broadcast to get subscribers from other platforms
Already have a bot on another platform and want to transfer its subscribers over to KiboPush? Here’s a workaround for it:
- Connect KiboPush to the Facebook page that has your other bot connected to it.
- Send a broadcast to all your subscribers via the first bot.
- Everyone who interacts with the broadcast will appear in your KiboPush account as a new subscriber.
- Now you’re free to reach out to your previous bot’s audience through KiboPush! 🙂
Method 2: Export Subscribers from other platforms
All Facebook Messenger bot companies are required to export Facebook Messenger follower IDs (also known as PSIDs) when requested. If you message or email your current bot platform and ask for your PSIDs, they must send them to you.
There are two ways to do this:
- Just email or message your bot platform and request your chatbot’s Facebook Messenger PSIDs. They will send them to you.
- Manychat Pro users can export PSIDs by going to the “Audience” tab in their Manychat dashboards. There is a step-by-step guide for how to export Manychat PSIDs.
If any platform doesn’t reply to email for requesting subscriber ids, as a business we can talk to Facebook support and they would resolve the matter.
Method 3: Sponsored Messaging
If KiboPush is your first chatbot platform and you have people who messaged you on your page before installation, then it is not possible to export them from Facebook and import in KiboPush. There is a workaround of using Sponsored Messaging feature. This is an ad which would display to your audience who messaged your page. This type of ad would display in their Messenger inbox as a message from your Facebook page. Once people reply to that sponsored message, KiboPush would start receiving their PSIDs and we can let them opt in to become subscribers.
There are two ways to send sponsored messages: From KiboPush growth tools or from Facebook Ads Manager.
