Google Sheets Integration User Guide

This feature comes handy if you want to transfer subscriber’s data to google sheets or update subscriber’s information by getting information from your google sheets. This is basically a transfer of data from KiboPush to google sheets and vice versa.

Connect your Google account

Firstly, you have to connect your Google account to KiboPush:

  1. Go to Settings from the sidebar
  2. Click on Integrations
  3. Click on “Connect” button beside Google Sheets
  4. Confirm the authorization. After which, you will be redirected to our dashboard.

Add Google Sheets action to flows

You can add the integration action in one of your flows (like broadcasts, sequence messaging, messenger Ads, etc), and when your subscriber passes through this flow, their data will be pushed to your Google Sheet.

Let’s look into how this will work in Broadcasts.

  1. Create a new worksheet in your Google Docs and prepare column names on the first row of the document
  2. Go to Broadcasts from the Sidebar.
  3. Click on New Broadcast.
  4. Select the page you want to send Broadcast from and click on Create New Broadcast
  5. You can add Google Sheets Actions on either buttons or quick replies. So, let’s add a text component along with a button. Click on Text.
  6. Enter some text and click on “Add Button”.
  7. Enter button title and click on Google Sheets.

Insert Row into Google Sheets

  1. Click on the Insert Row link, and Google Sheets wizard will appear.
  2. Choose your spreadsheet, worksheet, and match KiboPush fields to the worksheet fields. All subscriber’s data and Custom Fields are available to send.
  3. Click on Save.
  4. Click on Next and send the broadcast.
  5. Now, when the subscriber clicks on this button from their messenger, the subscriber’s data will be inserted as a new row in your google sheet according to the columns that you matched from KiboPush.

Get a row from Google Sheet by lookup value

Our integration allows you to import data from the Google Sheet into Custom Fields and update subscriber’s data in KiboPush.

  1. Click on the Get Row By Value, and Google Sheets wizard will appear.
  2. Choose your spreadsheet and worksheet
  3. Select a Lookup Column. This is the column in the google sheet that would be searched for the matching look Up value.
  4. Select a Lookup Value. This can be a system field or a custom field. It would be matched against the values in the google sheets for the selected look up column.
  5. Map Google Columns to KiboPush Columns
  6. Click on Save.
  7. Click on Next and send the broadcast.
  8. Now, when the subscriber clicks on this button from their messenger, we will search in the google sheet if it has the lookup Value in it. If yes, it will fetch that row from google sheet and update it in Kibopush as per the matching columns set by the user.

Update Row

Our integration also allows you to update your Google Sheet data with the KiboPush data.

  1. Click on the Update Row and Google Sheets wizard will appear.
  2. Choose your spreadsheet and worksheet
  3. Select a Lookup Column. This is the column in the google sheet that would be searched for the matching look Up value.
  4. Select a Lookup Value. This can be a system field or a custom field.
  5. Click on Save.
  6. Click on Next and send the broadcast.
  7. Now, when the subscriber clicks on this button from their messenger, we will search in the google sheet if it has the lookup Value in it. If yes, it will update that google sheet row as per the matching columns set by the user.
