With our new feature, ‘Twilio SMS’, you can broadcast messages to phone Numbers. For this, you will need to have a paid Twilio account (a free account can also be used, but with limitations which will be discussed at the bottom of this page). You can make this account using this website: Once you have made the account, you can follow the steps given below:

How to connect Twilio to KiboPush?

  1. If you are a new to KiboPush, open Fill required fields and signup. You will land on this screen. Here you can connect your twilio account with KiboPush.

Click on connect.

Enter your twilio credentials and click on submit.

You can find your twilio credentials from your twilio console.

Click on continue to land on our dashboard.

2. If you already have an account with KiboPush, simply login and go to the settings from sidebar.

Click on Configuration.

Click on Connect.

Enter your Twilio credentials and click on Submit.

3. Now change the platform to SMS from the header. You will see that the sidebar has changed.


How to connect upload Contacts?

  1. Let’s see how you can upload contacts. These are contacts to whom your broadcasts would be sent. Click on upload contacts from the sidebar:
  2. You can upload contacts by entering the numbers manually or uploading csv file(s) containing all the numbers. You can do this multiple times and it will continue to add to your list of contacts to upload:
  3. If you upload a csv file, it must contain columns for names and numbers. Choose the column for name and number and click on save:
  4. You will be presented with a list of valid and invalid records:
  5. You can edit any record by clicking on the edit icon:
  6. You can delete any record by clicking on the delete icon:
  7. Once you have fixed or removed all the invalid records, click on submit. You will be presented with the following screen:
  8. You can save contacts in different lists. This allows easier segmentation on these contacts. You can save to an existing list by selecting the first option and then selecting the existing list in which you wish to add the contacts. By default, all contacts are saved to the “Master” list:
  9. You can save to a new list by selecting the second option and then specify the list name:
  10. Click on confirm to save the list
  11. You can view these contacts in the subscribers screen. From here you can filter and search for different subscribers and even change their names by click on the edit icon in their record:


How to send a broadcast and observe its analytics?

  1. Login to
  2. Click on broadcasting from the sidebar and then click on broadcasts.
  3. Click on Create New > New Broadcast
  4. Select your twilio number from which you want to send the broadcast to the subscribers and click on create new broadcast.
  5. Enter the title and message of the broadcast:
  6. You can optionally select segmentation. This allows you to send to a subset of your subscribers:
  7. Basic segmentation allows you to specify conditions based on subscriber’s name or number:
  8. Subscriber Lists allows you to send this broadcast to subscribers contained in the selected lists:
  9. Click on Send
  10. Sent broadcast will appear in the broadcasts table
  11. Click on View to see the responses of the broadcast
  12. Sent count shows the number of contacts who were sent the sms, Delivered count shows the contacts who received the sms and response count shows the numbers of contacts who replied back to the sms
  13. The pie chart shows the top 5 responses received from the contacts
  14. Click on View Responses to see complete response details
  15. Tap any response to view the sender details. The green icon shows the number of contacts who have sent this particular response.


How to send a follow-up broadcast

Follow-up broadcasts help users send sms to their contacts based on their previous response.
Users are able to send a follow-up response for any single broadcast or they can send a follow-up message for multiple previous broadcasts.

  1. Click on Create New > Follow-up bradcast
  2. Enter a broadcast title
  3. Select the number from which you will send this broadcast
  4. Select the broadcasts for which you want to send followup. By default it will be sent as a follow-up response to all your broadcasts. You can select upto 10 broadcasts
  5. Select responses for which you want to send a follow-up message. You can select upto 10 responses
  6. You can also send a follow-up broadcast based on certain keywords in the customers’ responses. Type any keyword and press enter. You can type upto 10 keywords.
  7. Type your broadcast message.
  8. Click on Send
  9. Your follow-up message has been sent.
  10. You can also send a follow-up message for any particular broadcast from ‘View Responses Screen’
  11. Click on ‘Send Follow-up Broadcast’
  12. Enter a broadcast title
  13. Select responses for which you want to send a follow-up
  14. Filter follow-up audience based on the keywords in their response. You can enter upto 10 keywords
  15. Enter a broadcast message
  16. Click on Send
  17. A follow-up will be sent for the selected broadcast.

How to chat with Subscribers?

Whenever a subscriber sends a message to your twilio number, that message can be viewed in our Live Chat.

  1. Login to
  2. Make sure SMS platform is selected:
  3. Click on Live Chat from the side bar:
  4. Click on a subscriber to view its chat. The chat contains all the messages that you have received on your Twilio number.
  5. You can also send message from here. Just enter the message and press “Enter”:
  6. You can assign a chat to an agent or team:
  7. You can remove or add a pending flag to a chat to indicate some action or response is still pending:
  8. You can search for words within a chat session:
  9. You can resolve a session to indicate that no other action is needed (You can also re-opoen the chat later if need be):
  10. You can also search and filter for different sessions:
  11. You can navigate through open and close sessions:

How to create and send zoom meeting invitations?

  1. Click on the Zoom Icon:
  2. If you haven’t already integrated Zoom with KiboPush, click on ‘Integrate’. If you already have, you can skip to step 6:
  3. Click on ‘Connect’. You can connect up to 3 Zoom accounts. If you are already logged into to a zoom account, and you wish to connect a new zoom account, first sign out of the signed-in zoom account and then click on connect:
  4. Authorize the App:
  5. Now go back to Live Chat, select any session, and click on the Zoom Icon again:
  6. Select a Zoom account:
  7. Input the topic of the meeting:
  8. Input the agenda of the meeting:
  9. You can also customize the invitation message that will be sent to the subscriber. “[invite_url]” refers to the actual Zoom invitation url that is generated and it is required inside the invitation message:
  10. Click on ‘Create and Invite’:
  11. A countdown will start, and you will be redirected to the zoom meeting in a new tab and the invitation message will be sent to the subscriber:

How to disconnect Zoom Integration from KiboPush?

    1. Go to Settings in KiboChat:
    2. Click on Zoom Integration:
    3. Click on ‘Disconnect’ for the Zoom account you want to disconnect:
    4. You will be redirected to Zoom from where you can uninstall the KiboPush App:
    5. Select the reason for uninstalling and then click on Uninstall:

Limitations with Free Twilio Account:

  1. You need to verify the phone numbers in order to send messages to that number.
  2. Sms is sent from different number (e.g. 56789) and subscriber will send message to different Twilio number (i.e. +1 334-539-0810).

How to verify a number (necessary for free accounts only):

  1. Go to your Twilio account dashboard and click on the ‘…’ from the sidebar:
  2. Click on ‘Phone Numbers’:
  3. Click on ‘Verified Caller Ids’:
  4. Click on the ‘+’ icon to add a new phone number:
  5. Enter the phone number. A call or sms will be sent to the number. Enter the code received on the number to verify the number:
